The Sarmiento train service resumed operation on Tuesday afternoon following a derailment that forced a suspension of service for several hours and left 20 people assisted by emergency personnel.
According to official sources, circulation resumed around 18:30, albeit with significant delays and a key modification: trains did not stop at Liniers station, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of the same name, where the incident occurred.
The decision to skip the station remained in effect until 21:00, when the necessary technical work and inspections were completed to guarantee safety on the tracks and the affected platform.
Meanwhile, authorities asked users to allow for extra travel time and to follow service updates for possible new delays or operational restrictions.
